I have added some new topics for our daily suggested lessons.  Now that you are all pros at being homeschool teachers there are five new categories; weekly bible story, color and shape of the month, bible verse, and calendar.  These are all daily topics we covered in our classroom.  In our morning circle time we would review our monthly bible verse, shape, color and calendar.  We would then recite the month, day of the week, and then count to the day together while pointing at the numbers.

Weekly Bible Story: “Jesus Goes to Heaven.” Matthew 28:16-20, Luke 24: 44-51, Acts 1:6-11

Bible Verse of the Month:  GROWING IN CHRIST Colossians 1:10

Color of the Month: Red

Shape of the Month: Oval

Calendar:  May  Go over the month and count to today's date using our printed May calendar!

Song: 5 Green & Speckled Frogs  ,   Froggy, Froggy!

Story: "Life of a Frog"   ,  "The Kindhearted Crocodile"     Frog on a Log

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me; My glory and the One who lifts up my head.” Psalm 3:3

Indoor Activities:
(My suggestion is to print an extra copy and let your child practice cutting out the items, they can do it!)
-Watch Life cycle of a frog video How a Frog Becomes a Frog
-Go over ‘Life cycle of a frog’ print out, or color your own.

-Paint a frog using a fly swatter or let them use their fingers.
-Frog Line Tracing; Use a pencil or let them use scissors to cut along the lines.
-Frog Life Cycle Wheel
-Frog Coloring page
-The Life of a Frog Book. Put the book together and follow along with me as I read the book to you in the above link under “story”. You can either color your own book or use the one I already colored. The book is read to the idea of the “Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see” rhyme.
-Go over Fun Frog Facts Page
-Make a frog using a toilet paper roll

-Make a Frog on a Lily Pad Bounce
-Make Sidewalk chalk (Recipe found here Sidewalk Chalk diy )

-Mother's day coloring page 1 or page 2

Outdoor Activities
-Can you be a Frog? Be still like an egg, swim like a tadpole, swim/crawl like a froglet, jump like a frog?
-Go on a “red” nature walk. Find things in nature that are red.
-Frog Jump & Measure
-“Sticky Frog” ; Place tape on your fingers/hands and see what you can catch like a frog’s tongue. What sticks to your fingers?
-Learn something new outside…balance on the sidewalk edge, can you jump with two feet together?
-Sponge toss with a friend or in a bowl/bucket.
-Lily Pad Leap (Print out the lily pads and pretend you are a frog and leap from pad to pad. This can also be played inside.)

-It’s Paper airplane Friday, go fly one outside. (if we were at school it would be paper airplane day)
-Put your sidewalk chalk to use…have fun
